Streaming Tech Tool Hub — an internal tool for the 5 Streaming tech team and its delivery partners.
In short
We only store what is needed to sign you in and run the tool. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and your browser does not contact any third party to load this app. Because of that there is nothing to opt in to, so you won't see a cookie banner.
One exception: HTML dashboards that colleagues upload run in an isolated frame (it cannot see your cookies or account) and may load their own scripts or fonts from other sites, such as a charting library from a CDN. Those requests come from the uploaded file, not from the Tool Hub itself.
Cookies
Both cookies are strictly necessary — the app cannot sign you in without them — so under UK PECR they do not need your consent. They are first-party, HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read them), sent only to this site, and contain no tracking identifiers.

Stored on your device
The app remembers a few display preferences in your browser's local storage: whether the sidebar is collapsed, the pages you visited recently (for quick navigation), and some per-page view settings. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and you can clear them from your browser settings at any time.
If your browser supports it, the app also installs a service worker that keeps a copy of the app's layout and static files so it loads faster and can show an offline page. It does not keep copies of the data shown in the tools.
What we keep about you
- Your account: name, work email (and an optional secondary email), a one-way hash of your password, your role in each 5 Streaming tool, and two-factor settings if you enable them.
- Sign-in records: for each session, when it started and expires, and the IP address and browser it came from — so you can see and revoke your sessions under Account Security, and so we can spot misuse.
- Audit log: security and admin events such as sign-ins, approvals and configuration changes, with the IP address they came from.
- Your work in the tools: things you create or change (for example dashboards and bookings) are saved against your account.
We use this to run the tool, keep it secure and administer access. Account emails (verification, password reset, sign-in codes and any digests you subscribe to) are delivered through our email provider. Nothing is sold or used for advertising.
